CARTHAGE. Second Punic War. Circa 220-205 BC. Half Shekel (Silver, 19 mm, 3.37 g, 11 h), Carthage or a mint in Sicily, circa 213-210. Laureate head of Melkart-Herakles to left. Rev. Elephant walking right; below, 𐤀 (A in Punic). Burnett, Enna 127 (same dies). MAA -. SNG Copenhagen 383. A fresh and clear example with an exceptional reverse. Light corrosion on the obverse, otherwise, extremely fine.
